Born To Eat

A 5 * tapas and wine tasting route through the Barcelonés neighborhood of El Born.

Route through the charming artisan neighborhood of El Born, in the heart of the old city. Inspired by the passion for the area and its wonderful heritage, "Born to Eat" was created, a top-quality tapas and wine tasting tour, to share with you the best bars, wineries and restaurants. We start our experience with aperitifs in a beautiful rustic bar. You'll meet your travel companions and guide as we share part of the intertwined history and culture of the areas, to set the stage for the rest of the tour. You will learn about the vermouth traditions, you will explore the alleys of El Born, you will hear about politics in Catalonia; from the medieval past to the civil war and how all this has influenced the gastronomical culture here today. In the following hours we visit three more tapas stops, enjoying dishes from different parts of Spain and savoring the drinks that are combined with them. You will be able to enjoy 'the vermouth hour', participate in the pintxos culture and savor delicious Spanish and Catalan gourmet tapas. Our last stop is a charming wine cellar, where we delight in the art of wine tasting. Catalunya has no less than 11 DO and you can taste at least 4 different types of Spanish wines and cavas. And don't worry if you are a beginner or a wine enthusiast, your host will guide you through the tasting to discover the incredible wines produced here in Spain. This is an experience to get to know the feeling of the El Born neighborhood; an afternoon with the locals going where they are going - learning, laughing, eating and drinking. Summary of the experience

Our tours operate at 5:00 pm * on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

 It shows more than 10 dishes from all corners of Spain We visited 4 places where you indulge in over 10 dishes. We cater to most dietary restrictions.

 Small groups We limit our tours to 8 people to make it more like a group of friends than a tour

 Historic Barcelona We explore the historic district of Born, while stopping to eat and drink where the locals go
